A new chapter: Return of the Dawn
Return of the Dawn marks the beginning of Aroma, a new project from pianist and composer Aron Ottignon. A blend of piano, Osmose synth, and intimate sound design — the EP arrives October 23rd, with the first single Morning Dew out October 10th.
I’m happy to share the first news about my new project, Aroma.
The debut EP, Return of the Dawn, is finished and will be released on October 30, 2025 with Urban Trout Records. The first single, Morning Dew, comes out on October 10.
This music brings together piano, the Osmose synthesizer, field recordings, and the voice of Nane Kahle. It’s my first release since Dama Bëgga Ñibi with Aron & The Jeri Jeri Band, and it marks a new direction for me: more ambient, more intimate, and still rooted in improvisation and collaboration.
I’ve been previewing the album to a few friends, and some of their reactions have been encouraging:
