About the Release
Originally composed on a century-old piano in suburban Paris, So Hold Still captures a moment of personal flux for Aron Ottignon — a deeply emotional and expressive piece of jazz-fusion catharsis.
Revisited a decade later during the 2020 pandemic, the track was expanded into a cross-border collaboration involving key contributors from Aron’s creative universe.
The result is a 12-minute odyssey featuring a live band, remixes by Surly and Glenn Astro, and alternate versions that reflect the evolution of the piece across time, space, and state of mind.
