### About the Release

**Mama Djuma** is a heartfelt dedication to legacy and lineage. Pianist/producer **Aron Ottignon** and Senegalese percussion master **Bahkane Seck** created this EP to honor Seck’s mother — **Djuma** — and her granddaughter who shares the same name.

Featuring powerhouse vocal performances from **Toufa Mbaye** and **Aïcha Niang**, the music weaves through family memory, improvisation, jazz textures, and spiritual song. Each track is a love letter to womanhood, memory, and sonic healing.
